Self-extinguishable materials

Polymers are organic materials and are therefore combustible. The ever increasing fire safety requirements provide for the use of self-extinguishable materials or will not contribute to the spreading of the fire.

At Isokon, we manufacture self-extinguishable extruded panels with various self-extinguishing additives on demand. Based on the cooperation with the client, a material which will satisfy the demanding self-extinguishing standards is chosen.

By adding self-extinguishing additives, a polymer panel can be produced which complies with the UL 94 self-extinguishing test (V-0, V-1, V-2), as well as

with the filament test (EN IEC 60695-2-13 standard). Based on the use of halogen-free self-extinguishing additives, we manufacture RoHS Directive compliant panels, which are especially important for the use in the electro industry.

In this way, our clients are guaranteed to use prescribed standard compliant panels which ensure for increased safety. This helps you avoid unnecessary complications and concerns.
