Problem:

To produce half-round windows, PVC window manufacturers must bend multi-chamber PVC profiles to suitable radius' by heating them to the softening temperature

When bending, these chambers often collapse and the product is dimensionally inappropriate.

Solution:

Based on our extensive experience and innovative approach, we developed special highly tough polyethylene battens at Isokon which can be extended at 90 to100°C.

The battens can then be bent to such a radius that the PVC profiles remain in compliance with regulations, saving a lot of time, money and unnecessary worries of the PVC window manufacturers.
