The LEVEL-UP project aims to upgrade the final quality control system with an autonomous vision system to check the product quality (superficial defects and dimensions) and potentially correlate that information with machine failures.
The vision system has been successfully integrated and demonstrated on ISOKON’s production line 1, which is used as a pilot line for modernization /upgrade/ refurbishment in LEVEL-UP project.
The vision system used in ISOKON’s pilot line aims to help operators with the detection of defects that appear during the extrusion of the profile. An early detection of these defects will lead to a more efficient extrusion and reduce material waste.
